-A MTB guide will take you to discover Montisola, Europe’s largest lake island
-You’ll ride the island’s bike path, with stunning views of Lake Iseo. WHAT’S WAITING FOR YOU
You’ll leave from Pisogne, in the province of Brescia, at the parking lot of the Italmark supermarket, and here you’ll meet your MTB guide who will take you on a wonderful half-day tour all about Lake dIseo. Once you drop off your ebike in Pisogne you will arrive in Sulzano along the lakeside bike path and here you will take the ferry that, in about 10 minutes, will take you to Montisola. Montisola is the largest lake island in Europe, and its special feature is that motorized vehicles are forbidden: therefore, it can be visited exclusively on foot or by bicycle. Pedaling along its characteristic narrow streets will truly be a pleasant and safe experience. Having disembarked in Montisola, you will follow the bicycle path along its coast, reach Sensole from which you will have a beautiful view of the Isolotto di San Paolo and then to Menzino, where you will see the Rocca Oldofredi-Martinengo fortress. You will continue the tour to Siviano, a medieval hamlet, and climb to the villages of Cure and Masse. Then, from Cure, a cobblestone road leads in twenty minutes to the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Ceriola, which dominates from the top of the island offering a 360-degree view of the lake and mountains all around. Lunch can be packed or you can choose to go to a local restaurant. Finally, we return by ferry to Sulzano and return to Pisogne, the starting point of the tour, around 2 p.m.
