WHAT YOU WILL DO
– You will spend a fun afternoon, learning how to cook a typical Italian dish
– You will taste an Italian menu, including the dish you prepared
– Back home, you can relive the experience by replicating the dish you learned thanks to Michele’s teachings WHAT YOU’LL BE WAITING FOR Michele will welcome you to her home in Bergamo.
She will be waiting for you with a welcome cocktail and then talk about the menu you are going to prepare.
You can choose to prepare a nice fresh pasta dish: tagliatelle, casoncelli, lasagna with different sauces (Bolognese, pesto, fish) or why not? Maybe the typical casoncelli alla bergamasca: ravioli stuffed with meat dressed with butter, sage and bacon.
If you don’t love pasta, you can decide to prepare a main course of meat or fish or the timeless Italian pizza! Here’s what your menu for the evening includes:
– Aperitif (prosecco and snacks)
– Appetizers (local salami and cheeses, vegetables)
– the dish you prepare (1 dish of your choice of pasta, pizza, meat, fish, etc.)
– Wine
– Desserts (1 choice of Sicilian cannoli, tiramisu, panna cotta, baba, strudel, profitteroles)
– coffee and liqueurs After 2-3 hours of work, you will finally be able to sit down and enjoy your delicious preparations accompanied by an excellent Italian wine.
During dinner, Michele will tell you about the origins to the history of the dishes you have chosen and explain your choice of wine. Dinner will end with a delicious typical Italian liqueur (limoncello, grappa, licorice liqueur, or an amaro) and an inevitable good espresso. The Michele’s Kitchen cooking class is very hands-on: Michele will show you the different steps for preparing dishes, and you can follow his directions from your workstation.
You are in for an afternoon of good food and fun! And once you’re back home, you can organize all-you-can-eat dinners or lunches, thanks to the lessons Michele will have left for you. You’ll make a splash!
